Calanthe kinabaluensis is one of the 16 species of Calanthe native to Kinabalu. This beautiful species grows in the lower montane forest between 900-2100 m asl. It is only found on Mount Kinabalu.

Coelogyne dayana is one of the many conspicuous Necklace orchids that is part of Borneo's special mountain flora. It has long, limply pendulous inflorescence of great beauty and has been in cultivation in the green houses in Europe more than a hundred years ago.

Eria grandis is lithophytic orchid (specialist growing on rocks) found only on the summit area of Mount Kinabalu. The flowers vary from mauve to rosy-pink in colour.

Coelogyne hirtella is probably the most common Coelogyne found on the mountains of Borneo. It is a magnificent sight when seen in full flower. It is very common on Kinabalu around the Park HQ.

Thecopus maingayi is a epiphyte though sometimes may be found growing on the ground. It has downward pointing delicate infloresences with medium-sized flowers. It is found in Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand.

Hylophila lanceolata. This is a terrestrial orchid of the mountain forests. It is widely distributed in Sabah, Kalimantan, Thailand, Sumatra, Java and the Philippines.

Trichoglottis bipenicillata - an elegant species bearing strikingly blotched flowers along the long, pendulous stems. It is a Borneo endemic and has only been found in Sabah and Kalimantan.

Trichoglottis retusa. This is another Trichoglottis which has attractive lemon yellow flowers, flowering twice or several times a year but more often in rainy seasons. In Sabah, it flowers profusely in November. It is widely distributed throughout Southeast Asia.

Eulophia spectabilis. A ground orchid that is very common in open grassy area, secondary regrowth, and road sides in Sabah. It has erect inflorescence bearing 12 to 20 flowers.

One of the nine species of Cymbidium found on Kinabalu, Cymbidium elongatum has only been found in Sabah and Sarawak. It is either a terrestrail or epiphyte growing in lower montane forest.

A miniature beauty, Jejewoodia jiewhoei is only found on Kinabalu's upper slopes. A rare orchid and a twig epiphyte. The genus is montypic and is named after Bornoean orchid specialist, Jeffrey Wood from the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and the specific epithet is in honour of Tan Jiew Hoe, a botanist and conservationist based in Singapore.

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum is the most well known slipper orchids of Borneo. It is only found on the lower slopes of Kinabalu in only three isolated locations and nowhere else in the world. It is generally considered as the most spectacular member of the genus Paphiopedilum.

The only slipper orchids in Sabah that is an epiphyte, Paphiopedilum lowii grows around the Kundasang area on Kinabalu. It has large, pink flowers of great beauty. Also found in Peninsular Malaysia.
